A key feature is the uniform 1/4″ hex shank. It enables fast, tool-free changeovers between drilling and tapping and ensures secure, backlash-free power transmission. The HexDrive taps are made from HSSE. To meet different machining requirements, the set is available in two versions:

- Form B taps are ideal for through holes. They provide reliable cutting guidance, controlled forward chip evacuation and consistently high thread quality.
- Form C taps with a 15° right-hand spiral are specifically designed for blind holes. The spiral geometry reliably evacuates chips from the hole and ensures precise, dimensionally accurate threads, even in demanding materials.
