One Hundred Years of Ausonia: a craft that continues over time.
One hundred years ago Ausonia was born and it is the most ancient knife factory in Maniago, a small town in
Friuli known all over the world for the production of knives and the manufacturing of steel. Company’s registration
dates back in July 1919, and in 2019 Ausonia celebrated its CENTENARY.
However, Ausonia’s history has more than one hundred years: its handcrafted origins date back at the Middle
Ages when count Nicolò lived in Maniago, and it goes on at the end of 1800’s with the building of many small
workshop called battiferro, by the Nanutti Beltrame family.
Since Ausonia’s foundation, the company has gained “una reputazione di acciaio” (a reputation of steel):
indeed, Ausonia products are the result of an accurate choice of the materials, the commitment to quality, and
the manufactoring proceeds the tradition according to the latest technologies.

Today, Ausonia boasts a large stock of more than 2000 items and a wide choice of products in many sector:
tools for building and pruning, professional and kitchen cutlery, and sporting knives.
