The three-part plug-in system for self-assembly protects the home from energy loss, mold formation and drafts
In the cold season, good insulation in your home is worth a lot to keep the heat in the rooms and save on heating costs. What is often overlooked when it comes to insulation measures are roller shutter boxes. Without insulation, they form a thermal bridge through which the valuable energy moves outside. This can be counteracted, especially in old buildings, by effectively subsequently insulating roller shutter boxes.
With the new three-part roller shutter box insulation system from Schellenberg, heat losses can be saved. Assembly is DIY-friendly thanks to the tongue and groove principle of the elements. In addition to lower heating costs, the new insulation system also reduces noise and offers effective protection against drafts and mold formation.
Energy efficient properties
The new insulation v consists of a ceiling and floor plate as well as a central bar as a complete plug-in system and can be installed in square roller shutter boxes without gluing. The use of high-quality Neopor material with a low thermal conductivity group of 032 ensures a high insulating effect. Thanks to its excellent properties, the roller shutter box insulation meets the requirements of the Gebäude Energie-Gesetz (GEG 2023). With a material thickness of 17 mm, it is also suitable for narrow roller shutter boxes with an inspection opening from below or on the side of the room.
Extras for easier installation
The insulation system is available with dimensions of 100 x 28.5 x 28 cm and is suitable for all common box sizes. The insulation parts can be shortened as desired or extended in length with an additional set. The circumferential adhesive groove and the enclosed adhesive strips help to easily connect two insulation sets. Line measurements on the insulation and the pyramid surface provide guidance when shortening. These pyramids also ensure noise reduction.
If the roller shutter is motorized, the center bar offers cable routing and clamping, which makes installation even easier.
With the DIY-friendly installation of the new insulation from Schellenberg, the home is energy-efficiently prepared for autumn and winter.
