The INTERNATIONAL HARDWARE FAIR had to be postponed to next year due to the Corona pandemic. But still, we would not want to keep the latest innovations in the hardware industry from you. Discover five exciting new tools.
At the INTERNATIONAL HARDWARE FAIR 2018, Wiha's speedE electric screwdriver received the I nnovation Award . Now the manufacturer has added another tool to its portfolio: the new, highly ergonomically designed speedE II electric generation features two material protection levels of 0.4 Nm and 1 Nm and is perfectly suited for tasks that require greater force, such as working with larger threaded screws. The voltage-proof slimBit exchange system (up to 1,000 V AC) ensures maximum safety and flexibility.
Smart solutions for precise and fast disconnection
Knipex, too, presents an intelligent tool to simplify work. With its new 180 mm long TubiX® pipe cutter , copper, brass and stainless steel pipes up to 35 millimeters in diameter and two millimeters wall thickness can be cut easily and precisely. Thanks to the QuickLock which provides for fast, single-handed adjustment, the tubes are securely fixed in the preferred position. A fold-out deburrer helps to smooth the cut surface.
For ultra-fast cutting, Pferd has developed the new Nitocut cutting system . It is the first manual cutting system in the world designed for a peripheral speed of 100 m/s. It allows up to four times more cuts and a higher insertion depth than the commonly used 125 x 1.0 mm cut-off wheels. Nitocut can be used like conventional angle grinders and meets the highest quality and safety standards.
Easier working in difficult conditions
Especially for assembly in tight spaces, e.g. in automobile production, Wera has expanded its range of open-end wrenches. The Joker 6003 combination wrench with its special mouth geometry provides for more speedy and efficient processes. The self-setting spanner Joker 6004 covers all metric and imperial measurements. The required size is adjusted automatically and seamlessly when the wrench is applied to the hexagon bolt or screw. A mechanical ratchet function supports fast and consistent screwdriving without removing the wrench.
Hazet also has a solution for working in confined spaces in its program. The new 916 HPL quarter-inch reversible ratchet is 116 mm short and has a maximum torque of 120 Nm – almost twice the force required by DIN (62 mm). The small actuation angle of only four degrees with 90 teeth ensures maximum precision in the smallest spaces. In addition, a snap-in function prevents unintentional switching.
Stay tuned for further innovations. At the INTERNATIONAL HARDWARE FAIR from 21 to 24 February 2021 in Cologne, you can experience these and many other novelties first hand.
