New impulses for the hardware industry: Start-ups at the HARDWARE FAIR 2020
10 Jan 2020
Young companies provide valuable impulses for the industry. The HARDWARE FAIR 2020 offers them a perfect platform to present their ideas and future-oriented solutions. For this reason, the EISENforum in Hall 11.1 will, for the first time ever, present the Start-Up Day which will take place on the 4th of March 2020. In addition, experienced founders will share useful tips and profound insights. Take a sneak peek at these three exciting start-ups.
CRAFTBOXX or craft goes digital
Loose sheets from a notepad, missed deadlines or lost invoices - the coordination between companies and craftsmen while working at a client’s construction site is sometimes in need of optimisation. For this purpose, CRAFTBOXX, a start-up from Hamburg, has developed an app that bundles all essential information and enables fast communication between all parties involved. With this application, orders can be processed easily and efficiently, information can be documented, and data can be imported and exported. The app consists of two modules: Plan-it and Do-it. The planning unit is the desktop application in which orders are registered, managed, organised and communicated to employees. Via Do-it, the head office forwards orders and assignments to the field staff.
Jeez or the hardware store on wheels
At first glance, Jeez looks like an ordinary online shop for DIY products. It offers almost 70,000 available articles in the do-it-yourself assortment. But in addition to the wide product range, the start-up provides a special service: customers can order a specially equipped van, basically an individually assembled mini DIY store, which delivers everything necessary for renovation work to the door within three hours - including expert advice. The service is available for both end customers and commercial clients. The innovative offer is still limited to the Rhine-Main area, however, further expansion is planned. With its concept, the start-up dissolves the border between stationary and digital trade.
Wiesemann or „progressive by tradition“
The tool manufacturer Wiesemann, which has been around since 1893, has now founded the start-up company Wiesemann1893 together with the e-commerce specialist The fabulous Group. The new digital tool brand combines the strengths of both companies and sells hand tools exclusively through its online shop.
