Nowadays, the topic of e-commerce has become a permanent fixture in the hardware industry's list of necessary infrastructural measures. It’s a priority for a reason: the majority of customers will go online to read up on products, services and features or to compare prices – and might even already make a purchase decision. If companies succeed in getting a hold of their clients or customers online, it allows them to communicate additional information and services and, as a result, increase the number of sales. Come to the INTERNATIONAL HARDWARE FAIR on March 1 and 2, 2020 to learn more about what to bear in mind when starting or continuing your e-commerce journey.

Even traditional companies have begun to realize the immense potential of e-commerce. Decades of accumulated expertise and experience can now be poured into digital channels, creating enormous added value. It’s all about identifying your digital target group and choosing the right channels, the right measures, and the right tools.

With concentrated competence

In order to give the visitors an overview of the multiple possibilities of e-commerce, the INTERNATIONAL HARDWARE FAIR has put together a powerful programme with extraordinary speakers that provide a deep insight into the world of online retail. The most prominent among them is the "online marketing rock star" Michael Atug. His opening and closing keynote will be complemented by numerous experts who will give lectures on accounting, influencer marketing and legal aspects. Visitors can look forward to inspiring, but also demanding contributions which will doubtless be cutting-edge.

Inspiring lectures

Interested in a little sneak peek? One of the speakers will be Marcus Diekmann, Chief Commercial Officer and member of the management board of ROSE Bikes. The 40-year-old has been active in e-commerce as a commercial analyst, strategist and creative go-getter since 2005 and is one of the best-known industry experts in Germany. His lecture is titled "Killer Commerce - being a hunter or a hunted man? Mastering transformation quickly & successfully to achieve digital innovation leadership". Dr. Thomas Engels, attorney from Cologne, sheds light on a completely different topic. In his keynote speech, he will talk about the legal instruments needed to trade on a platform: "The correct legal tool - mastering own brands & platform trading". The correct marketing of one's own products is no less important. In her lecture "Influencer campaign for the trade and/or manufacturers - recognizing and using potentials", Sarah Kübler, founder and managing director of the YouTube and Influencer agency HitchOn, explains how to integrate influencers into a marketing strategy in a target-oriented way. Look forward to all these inspiring keynotes and more at the #INTERNATIONALHARDWAREFAIR2020 on March 1 and 2, 2020. Join us live in Cologne and brush up on your e-commerce expertise.
