Lecture on the topic:
POS, kiosk, warehouse, etc. – Put an end to paperwork! Digital processes for tomorrow's retail and warehousing
Speakers:
Fabian Böhme – SundS ITS
Description:
Paper-based workflows, media disruptions and manual corrections are still part of everyday operations in retail and warehouse environments – causing errors, delays and a strong dependency on personnel. At the same time, expectations for speed, transparency and efficiency across the entire value chain continue to rise.
The session “POS, Kiosk, Warehouse & Co. – Ending Paper-Based Processes!” explores how end-to-end digital processes can be implemented realistically and effectively today. Rather than focusing on individual tools or technologies, the presentation looks at the interaction between POS systems, kiosk solutions and digital warehouse processes as one integrated process landscape. Using typical real-world scenarios from retail and logistics, the session highlights where analog process breaks occur, the issues they create, and how they can be replaced by clearly defined, system-driven workflows. It demonstrates how digital processes reduce operational errors, relieve staff, shorten onboarding times and increase overall process quality – without losing sight of daily operational realities.
The focus is on practical principles, sound decision-making criteria and realistic target models for the retail and warehouse operations of tomorrow. The session is aimed at decision-makers, process owners and practitioners who view digitalisation not as a buzzword, but as a measurable business lever.
